I bought an ad to promote LeeVolpe.com. I put in a short description of the site, added a picture, set the age range and category of interests, and voilà! I can’t tell you how excited I was…yesterday.
I logged in to check on the results and saw I had one new fan. Not bad, I thought, and decided to investigate. Clicking on, Website Ad Results, I found my ad had reached over 8,000 people in less than 24 hours, only three views, and as we already know only one signed up.
The kicker is I received a notice advising me that I am at an 80% negativity rate and to insure future success, I should “revise” my ad.
So basically what they’re telling me is 80% of viewers decided they didn’t like me in less than 24 hours, and I paid them to do it.
Am I the only one that finds this hilarious?!
Obviously, I will edit the ad, and I will keep you posted on my percentages, but I have to look at it this way: Yesterday, 80% of people didn’t even know me, but today they do.
